River-based treasure hunt underway

A unique and thrilling experience awaits families in Montreal's Old Port! Navark's Fantom boat offers a ghost treasure hunt, a captivating adventure for children aged 6 to 12, running until August 24.

The storyline revolves around a cursed pirate crew, with Captain Bracco, Orion, and Zephyr, who are soon to become ghosts. The treasure, said to contain an antidote to break the curse, is the main focus of the hunt.

As the boat sets sail, passengers are met with a well-decorated pirate ship, moored at Jacques-Cartier Pier. The children are guided by Orion and Zephyr, the pirate crew members, to complete various challenges to find the treasure.

The challenges are designed to be engaging and fun, with the children tying sailor's knots, walking like ghosts, and even defending the ship with water cannons. The animators on the ship show great enthusiasm, adding to the overall excitement of the treasure hunt.

The 100% electric boat offers four departures per day, and the itinerary is repetitive, but the focus is on the treasure hunt, not the landscape. However, the route does provide a glimpse into the spooky legends and ghost stories of the Old Port area.

From August 25 to October 15, departures will be offered on weekends and holidays. For those seeking a less adventurous experience, the Fantom pirate ship also welcomes evening passengers for "twilight cruises" without a treasure hunt.

The repetitive route of the boat may be familiar, but the ghost treasure hunt offers an unforgettable journey filled with mystery, adventure, and history. Navark's Fantom boat provides a family-friendly experience that is suitable for young children, although it may be more enjoyable for those aged 5 to 8, as the storyline and challenges are designed with this age group in mind.

Join the dozen children and their parents who have already embarked on this ghostly adventure and discover the hidden treasures and spooky tales of the Old Port of Montreal aboard Navark's Fantom boat!

The arts and lifestyle of Old Port Montreal are enriched with the addition of Navark's Fantom boat, offering a home-and-garden for children's imaginative minds. This unique experience, a ghost treasure hunt, immerses families in entertainment that spans from travel through the Old Port's spooky legends to the thrilling discovery of a pirate treasure, combining history with mystery.
