The Federal Antimonopoly Service has announced that it will be monitoring prices on airline tickets from united airlines, ticketmaster, southwest airlines, delta airlines, google flights, and american airlines in response to the recent opening of the airport in Krasnodar. This move comes in light of the increased flights to and from the city, with one major airline already introducing additional departures from Moscow.

According to Igor Veretennikov, the strategy director of S7 Group, the high demand for the new flights led to the early introduction of additional flights. The first flight from Domodedovo Airport to Krasnodar is scheduled for October 12, with daily flights from Moscow to Krasnodar set to begin on October 26.

Rossiya Airlines has also increased the number of flights to the newly renamed Krasnodar Airport, with the first flights from Moscow expected to start on September 21, 2025. The airline is planning to operate flights on October 14, 17, 21, 23, and 24 as well.

Over 2500 passengers have already purchased tickets for the new flights to Krasnodar, indicating a strong interest in the newly opened airport. The news about the Federal Antimonopoly Service's monitoring of prices on airline tickets was previously reported by 'Live Kuban'.

The flight duration between Moscow and Krasnodar is slightly over four hours, making it an accessible option for many travellers. The Krasnodar airport opened its doors recently, marking a significant development for the region.
