Moonlight Tour at Changdeok Palace to Return for Autumn 2025
The much-anticipated Moonlight Tour at Changdeok Palace is set to return for the autumn season of 2025, according to Korea Heritage Service. The event, which offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the palace under the moonlit sky, will run from September 4 to October 26, 2025, every Thursday to Sunday.
During the tour, participants will be treated to six sessions per day, with start times ranging between 7:10 p.m. and 8:10 p.m. Each session lasts approximately 100 minutes, providing ample time to immerse oneself in the palace's history and beauty. Tickets for the tour cost 30,000 won per person, and they are primarily distributed through a raffle system, with a limited capacity of 25 participants per session.
For those who prefer foreign languages, English, Chinese, and Japanese sessions will be available on specific dates in late September and October through Creatrip. The exact dates for these sessions have yet to be announced.
Unfortunately, there is no specific information available about a Moonlight Tour at Changdeok Palace in April 2025. Interested parties may want to check directly with the Korea Heritage Service or official websites for updated information.
In addition to the Moonlight Tour at Changdeok Palace, other walking tours in Seoul are available, although their schedules and details may differ. It's recommended to book these separately from the palace tours.
At Changdeok Palace, visitors can enjoy traditional herbal teas and royal confections while taking in the stunning views of the palace lit up by moonlight. However, recent news reports have highlighted two incidents at the palace. A crack has been found in the 'Gate of Immortality', and a wild boar was killed after a rampage at the palace.
