Malaysia to Host Smart City Expo Kuala Lumpur 2025
Malaysia is set to host the Smart City Expo Kuala Lumpur 2025 (SCEKL25) from Sept 17 to 19, 2025, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. This significant event, Southeast Asia's first edition of the globally renowned Smart City Expo World Congress Barcelona, aims to attract over 2,000 delegates and 10,000 visitors, including international participants. The Expo is co-organized by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) for the Ministry of Digital.
SCEKL25 aligns with Malaysia's national aspiration to become a Smart Nation by 2040, as outlined in the Fourth National Physical Plan (NPP4). The Expo's four strategic pillars are AI Cities, Sustainable and Resilient Cities, Digital Entrepreneurship and Economic Development, and Community Empowerment through Digital Solutions. Key partners include Diamond Partners Dell Technologies and Intel, Official Innovation Partner Huawei, and Gold Partner Ericsson. The Diamond Partners of the Smart City Expo Kuala Lumpur 2025 are Dell Technologies and Intel. Other key partners include Huawei as the Official Innovation Partner. The event will focus on the theme 'AI Cities: Shaping Our Digital Future'.
Strategic Partners include the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT), Malaysia Smart Cities Alliance (MSCA), Smart Cities Network, and the Malaysia PropTech Association.
