The City of London is set to welcome a new iconic landmark, as the Pan Pacific London prepares to open its doors at the end of spring. Located within the One Bishopsgate Plaza, a 43-storey bronze tower and plaza complex, the hotel will mark Pan Pacific Hotels Group's first footprint in Europe.

The Pan Pacific London caters to well-heeled, discerning travellers, offering a facility unmatched in scale and quality by any existing hotels in the area. Designed by PLP Architecture, a practice known for creating some of the world's smartest and most sustainable buildings, the new London landmark is a 24-hour destination for meeting, living, working, and discovering.

The development encapsulates the juxtaposition of old and new London architecture. The plaza, animated by retail, cafes, water features, and planting, will become the heart of a new urban quarter. It will provide a lively public realm, connecting Liverpool Street Station to the pedestrian routes and neighbourhoods beyond.

George Barnsdale, a company specializing in high-performance timber windows, was responsible for the timber sash windows, shopfronts, and the restoration of a listed shopfront in the Pan Pacific London development. The company's work on the project is a significant one, as it involves collaboration with leading architects, contractors, and developers.

The hotel features 237 guestrooms and one-bedroom suites, one all-day dining restaurant, one afternoon tea lounge, one patisserie, and two bars. The hotel's entrance design echoes the geometry, patterns, and shapes of the 43-storey tower.

The tower building of the Pan Pacific London is aiming to achieve a BREEAM 'Excellent' rating for sustainability. There are 'green' roof spaces with planting on levels 34, 42, and the roof level of the Pan Pacific London. The hotel also includes a wellbeing floor with treatment rooms, relaxation pods, a well-equipped gym and fitness area, a Living Room with a curated nutritional menu, and an 18.5m indoor infinity pool.

The development also includes the 144-year-old One Devonshire House, featuring designer shops, a destination restaurant, and a contemporary cocktail bar. With its grand architecture and modern amenities, the Pan Pacific London is set to redefine luxury hospitality in the Square Mile.

The Pan Pacific London is the first mixed-use development of its kind in the Square Mile, offering a unique blend of history and innovation. As the opening date approaches, Londoners and travellers alike eagerly await the unveiling of this new London landmark.
