Landscaping Competitions to Apply For in 2025
In the world of landscape design, creativity, sustainability, and innovation are celebrated through a series of prestigious awards. These accolades not only recognise design excellence but also provide a platform for showcasing projects that shape community living, city interaction, and public environment experiences.
One such award is the Asia Landscape Design Awards, which honoured large-scale urban parks in China and sustainable resorts in Southeast Asia in 2024. The competition, held annually, evaluates five core areas: sustainability, community impact, artistic vision, functionality, and integration with architecture.
The 2025 edition of the Asia Landscape Design Awards is set to announce its winners in November, with the 2026 awards scheduled to take place in Vietnam, accepting submissions in February, 2026.

Other notable awards include the World Landscape Architecture Awards, which highlight built and conceptual works from around the world, and the European Garden Award, which recognised winners in three categories in 2024.
Lastly, the SBID International Design Awards have a landscape subcategory, and in Australia, the AILA Awards recognised projects such as the Barangaroo Reserve in Sydney across multiple categories in 2024.
In addition, major landscape architecture awards in Germany include the Deutscher Landschaftsarchitektur-Preis and the 'Gärten des Jahres,' which recognise outstanding garden projects and offer visibility and acknowledgment of contributions to community and ecosystems.
