Kuban Predicts Record 16 Million Tourists in 2023 as Summer Season Booms

Kuban is set to welcome a significant surge in tourism this year, with Governor Veniamin Kondratyev predicting around 16 million visitors by the end of 2023. This projection follows a strong start to the year, with over 13.3 million people already having visited the region since January 2018.

The summer season proved particularly popular, attracting over 10.4 million tourists in just three months. Notably, this figure represents a 3% increase compared to last year's numbers. The region also saw a significant influx of young visitors, with over 600,000 children enjoying their holidays in Kuban, including around 200,000 from other regions and countries.

Looking ahead, Governor Kondratyev has announced the start of the winter holiday season on December 22, 2023, promising more opportunities for tourists to experience Kuban's diverse attractions.

With tourist numbers continuing to rise, Kuban is on track to meet its target of 16 million visitors by the end of the year. The region's popularity among both local and international tourists highlights its appeal as a prime destination for holidays and leisure activities.
