Future of Caravan Tourism in Hessian Rhön: Lecture on Oct 8

A significant shift in motorhome tourism has been observed in the Hessian part of the Biosphere Reserve Rhön and the Naturpark Hessische Rhön, particularly during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. To address this, a lecture on future-oriented caravan infrastructure is set to take place in the Hessian Rhön in 2025.

The lecture, scheduled for October 8, 2025, from 6 to 7:30 PM at the Hessian Administrative Office of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Rhön, is a part of a nationwide project focused on sustainable development and nature-friendly management of caravan tourism in Germany's most beautiful natural areas. The Hessian Rhön is one of the ten model regions for this project.

The event is a collaboration between National Nature Landscapes (NNL) e.V., Association of German Nature Parks (VDN) e.V., and the Caravan Industry Association (CIVD) e.V. Thomas Nitsch, a pitch consultant and speaker for technology and infrastructure at the CIVD, will lead the lecture, drawing from his over 30 years of experience. The lecture aims to explore the opportunities and possibilities of a future-oriented caravan infrastructure.

The lecture on the future of caravan infrastructure in the Hessian Rhön is open to all interested parties. RSVP can be done via email at [email protected] or by phone at 0661/6006-7802. For more information about the project, visit Nationale Naturlandschaften - Caravaning-Tourismus.
