With our plan providing trip cancellation coverage, 100% of your non-refundable travel expenses would be compensated, up to the estimated total travel cost you provide upon purchasing our travel insurance. Example costs covered include flight tickets, hotel reservations, as well as ticket/show/activity fees.
Pre-trip: You've bundled our travel insurance with our Cancel For Any Reason add-on, and you're worried about contracting COVID-19 while on the road, so you decide to cancel your trip.
Enhancing your travel insurance policy with the Cancel For Any Reason add-on allows for canceling your trip for reasons beyond those covered in your policy, as long as you give notice at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled departure date. This includes fears of contracting COVID-19 while away. If that happens, we'll reimburse you for up to 75% of your non-refundable travel expenses.
In-trip: You've unfortunately caught COVID-19 during your vacation.
If you're stricken with COVID-19 while on your vacation and require mandatory quarantine by the local authorities, your emergency medical bills and trip interruption expenses will be covered. This encompasses prescription medications, hospitalization costs, and the price of extending your trip, such as unexpected accommodations. Our support team will also assist you in finding a doctor, pharmacy, and safe accommodations, placing your well-being at the forefront.
In-trip: Your travel companion comes down with COVID-19 during your vacation.
If your travel companion contracts COVID-19 while on vacation and is mandated to quarantine by the local authorities, there is coverage for your unused prepaid expenses (like hotels, tours, shows, etc.) as well as the costs to alter your travel plans, such as delaying your return home. Furthermore, if you are also quarantined due to your travel companion's sickness, there is also coverage for your extended hotel expenses.
