Dubai to Host 11th World Green Economy Summit in October 2025
Dubai is set to host the 11th World Green Economy Summit (WGES) on 1-2 October 2025. The event, held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will bring together high-level participants including former Finnish President HE Sauli Niinistö and UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment HE Dr Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak. The summit, organized by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), and the World Green Economy Organization (WGEO), focuses on seven key pillars, including technology and innovation, clean and renewable energy, and climate equity. The event aims to strengthen international collaboration and drive investment in sustainable industries. HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and Chairman of WGEO, stated that WGES promotes green policies and clean technologies.
The summit will be led by Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, who serves as the President. Dubai seeks to reinforce its role as a global hub for climate dialogue and green innovation through this event. The theme, 'Innovating for Impact: Accelerating the Future of the Green Economy', reflects the city's commitment to driving progress in sustainability.
