Detmold's Autumn Holidays Packed With Free Creative Workshops
Detmold's autumn holidays are set to be filled with creativity and culture, thanks to a series of free workshops for 10 to 14-year-olds. The project, funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science and the Ministry of Children, Youth, Family, Equality, Flight and Integration of North Rhine-Westphalia, offers young participants the chance to explore various artistic disciplines, including comic creation, goldsmithing, sewing, and dance choreography. Participants will have the opportunity to develop their own projects and create unique works under the guidance of experienced artists and lecturers.
Registration for most workshops is online via pretix.eu/stadtdetmold/kulturrucksack. Exceptionally, direct registration is required for the 'I Want to Dance!' workshop at Domizil. One notable workshop is 'CRASH! BOOM! BANG!', a comic creation session led by comic author and illustrator André Sedlaczek. This workshop will take place from October 13th to 15th, 2025, from 10:00 to 15:00 at the Volkshochschule Detmold-Lemgo, Krumme Straße 20.
These free workshops provide a practical, up-close cultural experience for young participants. They are an excellent opportunity for children to explore their creativity and learn new skills in a supportive environment.
