Partying Through the Strife: Ukraine's Rave Culture in War Time

On October 13th, the curtains close on the "Dance, Dance, Revolution" exhibition - but not without a bang! Held in two contrasting locations, the gritty Fundbureau and the refined Kunsthaus Hamburg, this exhibition has been a testament to dance as a form of protest against Russia's aggression since August 10th. From traditional folk dances to modern-day raves, various forms of dance have been depicted as acts of defiance through photography, installation, video, and sound.

The Grand Finale

At the Fundbureau, you'll witness video recordings of the legendary raves from Kiev. In the Kunsthaus Hamburg, the exhibition's curator Anna Nowak will guide you through an enlightening tour. Nataliia Martynenko, music curator and radio host, along with Natalya Stupka, co-founder of ER3ATZ collective, will discuss the electronic music scene in Ukraine at the Fundbureau.

The event culminates with an electrifying DJ set by DJs from the Hamburg-based ER3ATZ collective. They've teamed up with the Kunsthaus Hamburg to plan the lineup for this thrilling conclusion.

Proceeds from the event will go to Solidarity Collectives, an anti-authoritarian volunteer network.

Luna Baumann Dominguez

Luna Baumann Dominguez, born in 1996, has a soft spot for German Bantams. This avian affection has earned her a few victories in her favorite card game, “Hens.” A serial mover, Luna has relocated 13 times, including a stint in Cologne where she interned in the WDR's economics department. Her Bachelor's in Communications Science was partly driven by a desire to work at the university radio in Münster, where she subsequently established the feminist show "Equals" and interviewed reggae musicians. France's media couldn't ignore the drummer from Dub-Inc's eagerness to meet her during a concert in Paris. The down-to-earth folks in the Ruhr region already miss her. Nickname: lun
