Citilink, an Indonesian low-cost carrier, prides itself on providing a no-frills, budget-friendly experience. With plenty of budget competitors on this route, the attractive 7:30am flight time proved popular.

Seated in the "Green Zone," the legroom wasn't overly cramped, despite my tall stature (179 cm) and lengthy legs. The 29-inch seat pitch felt slightly better than the standard 28 inches, but taller or larger passengers might still feel pinched. Investing in an extra-legroom emergency exit row or front-row seat is recommended for more comfortable space.
The aircraft's interior looked a little worn - marks on the overhead luggage compartments were evident.

The relaxed demeanor of the crew and loose onboard rules were refreshing compared to some airlines that can feel overly strict.

The meals left much to be desired. Taste-wise, they were passable, but the texture was lackluster. Portion sizes were reasonable, and compared to a recent AirAsia flight, the flavors were noticeably better.

Citilink is suitable for budget-conscious travelers who don't mind sacrificing comfort for lower prices. However, its cramped legroom, dated interior, and basic offerings make it ideal for short-haul trips where you can put comfort on the back burner. If you're looking for a little more luxury, it might be better to explore other options or prepare for fewer amenities.
