After indulging in the flavorful, creme fraiche-dotted chocolate marquis at Kynd, my partner and I troops back to the hotel's Library Bar, buried in comfortable thoughts from our enjoyable meal. The restaurant's ambiance—characterized by copper lighting, distressed brickwork, and bold leather accents—creates a space where the stories of small farms take center stage, adding to the seasonal dishes' smoky, robust flavors.
As we wind down at the Library Bar, Fleetwood Mac's Rumours fills the air while we Costa Rica travel in time with a lovely, wine-induced glow. The bartender politely inquires about further orders and then lets us enjoy the tranquility of the 1970s atmosphere for as long as we wish.
Hampton Manor is distinguished as a five-star luxury hotel, offering 24 suites and bedrooms in three individually designed settings. First built in 1855 as the family residence of Prime Minister Robert Peel's son, Frederick, the Manor was later transformed into a care home before being acquired by hoteliers Derrick and Jan Hill in the early 2000s.
