Five Years of Growth and Success

Since its inception five years ago, the festival has grown significantly in attendance, programme, media recognition, and economic impact. This year, it attracted visitors not just from across Russia but also from abroad, offering a wider array of cultural activities such as traditional music and dance performances, craft fairs, and educational workshops about Buryat culture.

Competitions and Activities

The main event of the festival was a competition for the best preparation of horhog. Each team prepared horhog in their unique way, showcasing their culinary skills and creativity. Simultaneously, a "Best Family in National Costume" competition took place, where participants had to perform songs or dances and walk the runway in traditional Buryat attire.

In addition to horhog, the jury also evaluated the number of dishes prepared by the participants within the given time. A competition for breaking the backbone bone was also held, where teams of three competed. Master classes and various souvenir products were available for visitors to learn more about Buryat culture and take home a piece of the festival.

The festival opened with national songs and dances, setting the tone for a day filled with cultural experiences. Archery competitions according to Buryat rules were featured, offering visitors a glimpse into the region's rich history and heritage.
