Attending ISE 2025 in Barcelona? Check out Cindy's 13 Tips plus an Extra Hint for Making the Most of Your Visit!
Barcelona, baby! I've been rocking the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) scene in Barcelona since 2022, and I'm here to share some tips for y'all attending this year. Despite having to miss 2024 due to a knee surgery, my spirit will be there in full force!
Now let's dive into some pro tips for ISE 2025:
- Welcome to the Mediterranean Climate: It’s gonna be just right—not too cold, not too hot. Plan your outfit accordingly!
- Get Tech-Savvy: Download the official ISE 2025 app in advance. Trust me, it’ll make navigating the show floor a breeze.
- The Art of Preparation: Print your badge before you depart. Nope, not a tip. It's a necessity.
- Be on Time: Word on the street is there'll be an even larger attendance this year. Don't be left waiting in line. Leave your hotel well ahead of your first meeting. Here's the Fira Barcelona, Gran Vía Venue's location and opening hours.
- Tip of the Day!: The Fira Barcelona, Gran Vía Venue may be immense, but save some energy. Check out the show floorplan and make use of the escalators to the second floor. It's less crowded, and people movers can whisk you between most halls.
- Experience the Show: Submerge yourself in the exhibit! Virtual production, AI, and immersive experiences are abundant at many booths (or, in European speak, stands). Keep your eyes peeled!
If you've got some free time to explore the city, I've got you covered:
- Paella Paradise: My heart belongs to MANÁ 75 for its stunning family-style paella servings. Perfect for a post-conference dinner with the team.
- Art Affectionado: The Fundació Joan Miró was a personal favorite from last year. Miró and Matisse were contemporaries, and the juxtaposition of their art is beautifully curated. MiróMatisse. Beyond the Images runs until February 9, 2025, so don't miss it!
- Gaudi, Baby!: If you only have time to visit one architectural marvel, Casa Batlló is the one. It's an AV person's dream!
- La Boqueria Market: A feast for the eyes and stomach. You don't want to skip this bustling, vibrant experience.
- Breakfast of Champions: I'd usually be found at El Quim de La Boqueria around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Their culinary creations are worth every penny.
- Sagrada Família: A must-see. Book your tickets online to skip the line and prepare to be amazed.
- Gothic Quarter and Beyond: Meander north from the Gothic Quarter to discover lovely medieval streets, cool restaurants, shops, and the Picasso Museum. It's perfect for a leisurely stroll.
BONUS: Don't neglect common sense. After all, Barcelona is a top-tier destination for pickpockets. Keep an eye on your belongings, and enjoy the city guilt-free!
Have a blast at ISE and Barcelona, it's gonna be a wild ride!
