The highly anticipated Mondrian Arcaya, the first Mondrian hotel in Portugal, is set to open its doors in 2028, marking a significant milestone in the Algarve's burgeoning design and lifestyle scene. Located in the heart of Vilamoura, the hotel will be a central pillar of the Arcaya development, a new community that promises to cater to a new generation seeking inspiration, well-being, and meaningful connections.

The Mondrian Arcaya will offer 120 rooms, including 30 luxury suites, and will be a beacon of world-class design and vibrant social spaces. The hotel's amenities will include three restaurants and bars, an all-day dining and lobby bar, a poolside bar, a rooftop restaurant with ocean views, curated wellness facilities, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, and three tranquil pools for relaxation.

Phil Zrihen, Head of Americas and Brand COO for Mondrian at Ennismore, believes Portugal and the Algarve offer an ideal setting for the brand's first project in the country. "The Mondrian Arcaya will have a profound impact on both international travelers and the local community, reinforcing the Algarve's position as a top European destination for design and lifestyle," he said.

Paulo Loureiro of Bondstone, the private equity firm spearheading the development, considers it a privilege to bring the Mondrian brand to Arcaya. "We are thrilled to partner with Mondrian and Ennismore to create an emblematic project that reflects our mission to create places that combine beauty, purpose, and longevity," he stated.

The memorandum of understanding for the development of the Mondrian Arcaya has already been signed by Bondstone and Ennismore, the lifestyle hotel company that merged with Accor in 2021. The partnership underscores Bondstone's commitment to developing and managing high-quality real estate assets in Portugal.
