A delightful day of exploration suitable for everyone

Saturday, September 20th, marks the exciting day of World Children's Day on Domberg. This family-friendly event, taking place at the Neue Residenz and the Alte Hofhaltung, promises to be a colourful, lively, and exciting experience for both children and adults.

The day is filled with a variety of activities designed to provide opportunities for learning, creating, and being inspired. From workshops to interactive stations, there's something for everyone.

One such workshop is "Democracy Needs Art!", where participants can work alongside artists Simona Saccoccia and Judith Siedersberger to print fabric bags. Another workshop, "Clay is Colorful" with "LebensLehm", allows participants to paint tree bark mobiles with washable clay colours.

For those with a passion for history, the family tour "Adventure in History - Following the Footsteps of the Prince-Bishops" takes participants on a journey from the Thomaskapelle to the Neue Residenz. The historic settings of the event are intended to appeal to young explorers and history enthusiasts alike.

The Historical Museum Bamberg offers discovery trails and interactive stations around the "Picturesque Stroll" exhibition. Meanwhile, the info booth and interactive station "Handpan Music" offers sound exploration with the handpan.

Families with children are warmly invited to participate in these activities. The info booth of "Grandmas Against the Right Bamberg" provides information about their work and offers a lucky wheel. The family tour "Glimmer of Light and a Warm Home? What was it like back then?" at the Neue Residenz is suitable for children aged six and up.

World Children's Day on Domberg is not just about learning and activities. It's also about fun. The "Colorful Buttons" interactive activity allows participants to design unique buttons.
